colorFabb Lightweight PLA (LW-PLA) is the best filament for printing RC Planes, Cosplay and other lightweight items. Parts are feather light, yet retain good strength and are easy to cut, trim and sand. If part weight matters to you, then this will quickly become your filament of choice.

Please note that colour variations may occur with colorFabb LW-PLA. Colour will turn lighter when material is at maximum foamed state as opposed to non-foamed state which shows a deeper and richer colour. Material oozes on travel moves, this is normal and can’t be reduced completely.

colorFabb LW-PLA is the first high quality expanding PLA 3D printing filament of its kind, using an active foaming technology to achieve light weight, low density PLA parts.
At around 230°C this material will start foaming, increasing its volume by nearly 3 times. Users can decrease material flow by 65% to achieve light weight parts, or use the expanding properties to effectively reduce print time by using big layer heights or single extra thick perimeters.

PACKAGING

Within minutes of production, colorFabb 3d printing filament is sealed airtight with a double barrier foil. Filament spools are then packed in a cardboard box for further protection. colorFabb 3d printing filament is fresh and ready for 3d printing right out of the box.
